Unified Alloys supplies industrial valves in stainless steel and corrosion-resistant alloys for process piping, water and wastewater, mining, refining, food processing, and general industrial service. Our valve program is built around five manufacturer partners, each chosen for what they do best — from deep stainless catalogue depth to knife gate specialisation to AWWA water service. MTRs traceable to the heat number can be supplied where required, and CRN-registered valves are stocked or available on order for pressure systems in Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, Ontario, and other CRN provinces.

Valve Types We Carry

Ball valves. Quarter-turn shutoff for clean, on-off service. Full port and reduced port configurations available across the stainless range, in 1-piece, 2-piece, and 3-piece bodies. Common in process isolation, instrument lines, and general industrial shutoff. Class 150 through Class 600 in flanged configurations; 1000 / 2000 / 3000 / 6000 WOG in threaded and socket-weld.

Gate valves. Rising stem and non-rising stem (NRS) configurations for full-bore on-off service. Used where pressure drop matters and the valve sits open or closed for extended periods rather than throttling. Class 150 and Class 300 in stainless.

Globe valves. Throttling and flow regulation. Higher pressure drop than gate or ball, but precise control across the flow range. Used in steam, process control, and any service requiring intermediate flow positions.

Check valves. Non-return flow control. Available as swing, piston, and wafer configurations across Class 150 and Class 300 stainless. Selection depends on line orientation, flow profile, and the acceptable pressure drop on reverse flow.

Knife gate valves. Heavy-duty isolation for slurry, pulp stock, mining tailings, and other media that fouls or wears conventional gate valves. The thin gate cuts through debris and build-up. Manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric actuation supported.

Butterfly valves. Quarter-turn flow control in larger line sizes. Common in water and wastewater service where weight and cost matter against larger gate or ball alternatives. AWWA-rated bodies for municipal water applications.

Y-strainers. Pipeline strainers in stainless steel, Class 150 and 600 WOG. Strictly speaking not a valve but routinely supplied alongside.

NVC Industrial Valves

NVC is our deep stainless steel valve catalogue and the starting point for most stainless valve specification. The range covers ball valves (1-piece, 2-piece, 3-piece, full and reduced port across 1000–6000 WOG and Class 150 through Class 600), gate valves (rising stem and NRS, Class 150 and 300), globe valves (200 WOG and Class 300), check valves (swing, piston, and wafer configurations), and Y-strainers. CSA CGA 3.16-certified ball valves are available for natural gas service. VALTEC 6000 WOG 2-piece full port ball valves are stocked alongside the NVC range for high-pressure applications.

Apollo Valves

Apollo manufactures industrial and commercial valves in U.S. facilities, with the headquarters in Matthews, North Carolina and foundries in South Carolina. The Apollo line covers ball, butterfly, check, and gate valves across bronze, brass, iron, carbon steel, and stainless. Useful when North American origin is a project requirement or when a specific Apollo product family is specified by engineering. PMP Precision Valve

PMP is our knife gate specialist. The MONO series knife gate valve is the flagship — a bonnet-style body that reduces leak paths and limits gate atmospheric exposure, a precision 360-degree round gate edge that cuts through debris, and a floating gate design that reduces operator torque and actuator size on motorised service. Manual gear operators are not required up to NPS 24. Seating materials available in BUNA-N, EPDM, PTFE, and VITON, with VITON standard. Rising and non-rising stem options, purge ports for body chest purging or pressure monitoring, and V-port inserts for control applications.

Victaulic Valves

Victaulic produces a full valve range complementing their mechanical pipe joining and grooved coupling systems. The line includes butterfly, check, ball, and knife gate valves designed for grooved-end installation, which is faster to assemble and disassemble than welded or flanged equivalents.

The Victaulic in-line maintenance knife gate valve is worth knowing about for any project where valve maintenance downtime matters. The valve stays in the line during maintenance — only the wear cartridge is replaced, which removes the rigging, chains, and pulleys normally required for full valve removal.
