Description: SENIOR INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Unified Alloys, one of the largest suppliers of specialty steel, alloy piping and instrumentation products in Canada, currently has a Senior Inside Sales Representative position available in Calgary.
Position Overview:
Work co-operatively with the inside sales team and other members of the distribution team to grow existing sales, acquire new customers and meet or exceed monthly sales quotas.
Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner as well as specifying accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items.
Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions as well as recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, returns, or concerns.
Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering promotional items.
Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
Educate customers about terminology, features, and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction.
Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
Actively meet with appropriate internal departments and attend scheduled sales meetings to ensure open lines of communication and alignment of objectives
Minimum Job Requirements:
Applicable Degree / Diploma and 5+ years of experience
Acceptable background and strong knowledge in pipes, valves, fittings, and other product we carry
Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and deliverance of outstanding customer service
Effective listening, communication (written and verbal), negotiation and phone skills
Able to work independently with some direction
Knowledge of logistics including carriers, shipping policies, and procedures
Exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities in a face paced environment
Positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic

Position: Instrumentation Inside Sales Representative

Description: Unified Alloys, one of the largest suppliers of specialty steel, alloy piping and instrumentation products in Canada, currently has an Instrumentation Inside Sales Representative position available in Calgary.
Position Overview:
Support current client base on all instrumentation products as well as current inside sales team(s) on quotations that may include instrumentation and valve products.
Evaluate new opportunities for products and inventory with Management team.
Work with existing instrumentation contracts, tracking pertinent key performance indicators and ensuring pricing is consistent with contract. 50% of time supporting current customers, 50% of time spent on developing new sales opportunities.
Generate new and repeat sales by providing technical support related to all instrumentation inquiries, quotes and contracts for Alberta operations
Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and value based solutions.
Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, returns or concerns.
Assist/Participate with product training and new product research
Become technically proficient with Parker Hannifin web based systems (TOPZ, PH Connect)
Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products and provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items.
Remain current with changes in local codes, consumer preferences and with product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows and/or reading trade journals.
Actively meet with appropriate internal departments and attend scheduled sales meetings to ensure open lines of communication and alignment of objectives.
Work as a contributing team member, establish fair working relations and maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Currently hold or are working towards certificate, diploma, or degree for area of technical expertise.
4+ years of sales experience
Acceptable background and strong knowledge in instrumentation products, pipes, valves, fittings, and other product we carry as well as their applications
Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and deliverance of outstanding customer service
Effective listening, communication (written and verbal), negotiation and phone skills
Working knowledge of company utilized distribution software, Microsoft Office Suite, contact management and other technologies.
Able to work independently with some direction
Exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities in a face paced environment
Positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic
